Company

A diversified engineering group that has built the foundations of growth since 1954.

Bhitti — the word means foundation — began as a single cement works on the river at Narayanganj. Seven decades later we are 62,000 people in 28 countries, building and running power plants, rail lines, bridges, ports and the digital systems that keep them working.

We are listed on the stock exchange and led by an independent board. Our founding family still holds a long-term stake, which lets us plan in decades rather than quarters.

What makes us different

  • One group, full life cycle. We plan, finance, engineer, build and operate — so we design for the fifty-year life of an asset.
  • Our own people on site. 41,000 engineers, technicians and crew work directly for us.
  • Safety above all. Our lost-time injury rate has fallen 70% in ten years.

We build what lasts — for the people who will use it long after we hand it over.
