Our climate plan
We will reach net-zero emissions across our own operations by 2045 and halve them by 2030 compared with 2020. Renewables already make up 46% of the power we generate, and every new plant we build for ourselves is renewable.
Cleaner materials
Our cement plants have cut CO₂ per tonne by 31% since 2015 using waste heat, alternative fuels and clinker substitutes. Our first low-carbon cement plant starts production in 2027.
Safety and people
Every site runs our “Safe Hands” programme. 28% of our engineering roles are held by women, and we train 6,000 young technicians a year in our academies.
